渡遠荊門外，
來從楚國遊。
山隨平野盡，
江入大荒流。
月下飛天鏡，
雲生結海樓。
仍連故鄉水，
萬里送行舟。

Leaving Mount Thorn-Gate far away,
Our boat pursues its eastward way.
Where mountains end begins the plain;
The River rolls to boundless main.
The moon, celestial mirror, flies;
The clouds like miraged towers rise.
The water that from homeland flows
Will follow me where my boat goes.
